Casino and Hotel Life

This is the front lobby on Wednesday about noon - as always, lines of people waiting to check in.
The casinos have such "ways" to attract and keep you. Nothing is at right angles and you lose your way constantly.
Most of the time you can't see any daylight so finding the way to a door takes a while. Ed declares that the maps don't match the building. We've pretty much figured out how to find the elevator to our room but during that process, have gotten a lot of exercise walking!

Notice that in this lovely design on the ceiling, there are all sorts of light bulbs and black camera eyes -- always watching everything!
They even have penny slot machines, poker machines at a buck a pop,and poker with a cartoon character (or a video gal) as the dealer. There are girls with little Greek dresses bringing drinks and young, attractive girls going around giving shoulder and neck massages to people as they sit at the blackjack tables. It's just another world.
Then, there's the shopping.......the Forum shops are famous and connected to our hotel. There are always people shopping. I saw a pair of plain flat flip-flops for $475.00!! I found a pair of men's flip-flops for only $600.00. Ed admired a watch and inquired....it was only $19,000.00.
Watching people is fascinating......most everyone under 50 is wearing jeans. There are a few ladies in evening clothes in the evenings and there are lots of businessmen with the navy blazer and khaki slacks.

Friday night is a different story. It appeared the convention/conference people left and the younger, party people rolled in. There were groups of young, SLIM, gorgeous girls dressed in fit-to-kill little dresses and did I mention that they're SLIM? The lobbies, casinos and sidewalks were packed with even more people than usual.
