The Big Five-O for Krista

Yes, it was time for the BIG  5-0 for Krista Suter, my bonus daughter. 
(What's a bonus daughter you may wonder?  When I married Gary in 2020, I got a bonus in the deal --- a daughter!.....and a nice and smart one at that!)

Krista's  best friend, Natalie Bass, and her cousin Linda Suter Miller, planned the event.  They invited friends from work, friends from the horse farm where she rides, and family.

Natalie asked Krista to meet her at the community hall in Ottobine because "she was borrowing chairs for Sam's graduation party next week and needed help." 

Natalie had to think ahead because Krista would likely show up in her grungy riding clothes.  So, she told her they would go out for a drink afterwards, which would mean Krista would come dressed nicely.

Gary made sure to park his Corvette so it wouldn't be seen when Krista drove up.

Judging by the photo below, I think we surprised her!

Of course, that is always the goal when one hosts a surprise party!
